Traffic

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and Chongqing Caiyuanba railway station are about 40 km (i.e., about one-hour ride) to the site of the conference. Taxi is always available at the airport (or station), costing about 120 yuan, or US$ 15 from the airport/the railway station to the conference site/hotel.

The check-in will be on October 10th,2008. We will arrange pick-up at the airport and the Caiyuanba railway station the whole day. If you arrive on any other day, please inform us in advance.

Traffic:

(a) By air:

Arrive at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, then turn to Guiyuan Hotel (located in Southwest University, Beibei) by taxi (about 120 Chinese Yuan).

(b) By train:

(1) Arrive at CaiYuanba train station of Chongqing, transfer to Chongqing Hotel by taxi (about 5 Chinese Yuan) and take City Bus 502 to Gate 1 of the Southwest University, transfer to the Guiyuan hotel by taxi (5 Chinese Yuan). Also you can arrive directly at Guiyuan Hotel (located in Southwest University) by taxi, which costs you about 100 Chinese Yuan.

(2) Arrive at Chongqing North Train Station and go to Gate 1 of the Southwest University by City Bus 502(near train station), transfer to the Guiyuan hotel by taxi (5 Chinese Yuan). Also you can go directly to Guiyuan Hotel of Southwest University by taxi (about 100 Chinese Yuan)

(3) Arrive at Beibei Train Station and go to Guiyuan Hotel by taxi (10 Chinese Yuan)

Remark: The registration will be on October 10th, 2008. We will arrange pick-up at the airport from 10:00 to 22:00 and arrange persons to provide traffic direction at CaiYuanba railway station from 10:00 to 19:00 on October 10th. If you arrive on any other day, please inform us in advance.

Climate

Chongqing is located in the subtropical zone and enjoys a continental monsoon climate. In late October it is conformable to live with the temperature between 19℃ and 24℃. The climate in Chongqing is often cloudy and misty. So an umbrella is always necessary for shelter.
